SUMMARY:November Reception:  Children's Art ~ Art Inspired by Books
DESCRIPTION:This exhibit of children’s art was created by the students of the Placitas Elementary School from September through May\, 2024 under the guidance of Joanne Collier\, Art Teacher.\n\nMs. Collier along with the Placitas Library’s Collection Coordinator\, Nancy Guist\, chose a selection of books with colorful\, vivid\, and dynamic illustrations. The students read the books and then created their own colorful creation of art inspired by their chosen book.\n\nThe ages of the students ranged from Kindergarten to 6th grade. (ages 5-12)\n\nBooks used:\nArmadillo Ray\nThe House in the Night\nHere Comes Valentine Cat
