The Placitas Community Library is pleased to announce a tree care seminar on Saturday, February 29 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Collin meeting room. The seminar will be conducted by Thomas Neiman, an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist. Tom will be discussing tree selection, how to plant, early care, and pruning. He is a resident of Corrales.

Thomas Neiman was born and educated in the Garden State of New Jersey, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics at Upsala College. After retiring from federal service, Tom became a Sandoval County Master Gardener, Rio Rancho Tree Steward, Corrales Tree Preservation chairman, an ABQ BioPark Zoo docent, and a published author. He has been a Certified Arborist, since 2018, specializing in teaching and consulting.
