Jewelry Care and Repair with Pam Troutman

Jewelry Care and Repair with Pam Troutman

Saturday, August 13, 2022 in the Gracie Lee Community Room at 2:00 PM.

Sometimes, knowing how jewelry is made can facilitate the care and give a longer life to those beaded treasures.

Pam Troutman, Star*Art Jewelry in Rio Rancho, has been making jewelry since the late 90’s. Since that time, she has studied vintage jewelry, learned from national instructors on bead embroidery, bead weaving, polymer clay and metal working, and has taught technique classes on the east coast and New Mexico.

On Saturday, August 13 at 2 in the Gracie Lee Conference Room, she will speak on some jewelry basics, construction, cleaning, and care for jewelry, and will talk about her art.  She is a regular participant in the PCL art exhibits, so you may already be familiar with her work.

Pam would be happy to look at your jewelry, give advice on proper care, or see if she can help restore broken or damaged pieces. Pam will also have a basket for unwanted jewelry that you would like to donate to non-profits in New Mexico.
