Book Sales
The Placitas Community Library sells books that are donated through PCL’s lobby, online stores, and special events as well as local author’s new books through the adult programs. All proceeds from the sale of books, CDs, DVDs and puzzles help fund the library to pay for operating expenses. The donated books sales is a significant fundraiser for Placitas Library.
Library Lobby
The Donated Book Team maintains the lobby at the library, and it’s gone through a refresh. The books are now divided into marked categories, making shopping a better experience. There’s also a section with new arrivals, so you have first pick! So, if you’re looking for a cookbook, a biography, or a mystery, check us out! We may have the book you’re looking for!
Online Stores
The Donated Book Team maintains two online stores, Amazon and Abe Books. We have a wide variety of books in our stores: historical, biographical, poetry, classics and more! If you’re interested in shopping at an online store, click on the icons below. If you live in the area or can pick up your purchases, the shipping charge will be waived. Just email us at donatedbooks@placitaslibrary.com and we’ll save the items for you.
Adult Program / Author Talks, Autographed Books
Occasionally, Placitas Library has the opportunity to offer in advance, new, often autographed, books related to upcoming Author Talks such as Anne Hilleman’s annual new title. Purchasing these books is yet another way to support your library. You will see the book listed here whenever such an opportunity is available.

Special Events
You’ll also find us at special events, such as Placitas Community Library’s Spring Fling, the Placitas Holiday Market and Placitas Market, to name a few. You also may find us at the Library’s Art Receptions when we have books that with books that complement the exhibit’s theme.
