Pre-K story time is a great way to introduce your children to many good things, such as how to interact with other children and with adults. They can learn when to sit quietly and when it is okay to jump up and talk. Your children develop creativity while doing various activities and most importantly they can develop a love for reading. Regular attendance can reinforce these skills. You will receive suggestions each month from the New Mexico State Library with early literacy tips. This handout has activities, games, and suggestions that will help to develop reading skills. It is available in the Pearl Room. Be sure to ask for one. Please join us and bring a friend with little ones too. As far as the children’s committee goes; this is our favorite thing to do on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Please join us on May 13th!
