The virtual programs start at 10 a.m. on Saturday mornings. There are three live programs that allow you to interact with the performers and ask questions. Also, there are two recorded programs you may watch as well. Programs are generally 40-45 minutes.
The DDU Show is a high-energy, Australia-themed show that combines music, culture, comedy, storytelling and audience movement/participation. The didgeridoo has been played by Aboriginal Australians for at least 1,500 years and is known for its otherworldly sound.
But DDU is much more than music. It’s interactive, educational, and motivational and super fun. You will learn about Aussie culture, animals and more, all while moving and grooving to the pulsing rhythm of the didge! Remember to bring the didge that you are going to make from the craft bag you receive when you register at the library. Rob will teach you how to play it! There is a recording for later viewing that will be similar to the live program.
There are two recordings available later viewing that will be similar to the live program.
We will begin with a 15-minute live segment where you can ask Rick questions and introduce your pet. Your pet does not have to be a dog. Cats, birds, lizards, and all others are welcome. Be sure to be on time at 10:00 AM so you can introduce your special friend to Rick. The recorded program is next Rick demonstrates how he trains his dogs and has them perform some very funny tricks.
For the first thirty minutes, Evan will help you read the mind of a cuddly stuffed teddy bear, learn amazing animal facts, be delighted by a disappearing bookworm and much more! For the next 15 minutes, you will be invited to a V.I.P. Magic Class. Everyone goes behind the scenes to take the Magician’s Oath, become honorary magicians, and learn some amazing tricks using common household items. Evan will also recommend some books you can read to learn even more.
