Adventure of a Lifetime: Biking Across the US

In 1997, Dennis Bumgarner and his son, Jon, rode their bicycles 3196 miles over the course of thirty-two days, from the Pacific Ocean at Dillon Beach, California to the Atlantic at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.  Over the Sierra Nevada Mountains, across the Great Basin, traversing the Rockies, across the plains and over the Appalachians and on to the eastern seaboard, the ride taxed their stamina, both physical and emotional. During this informal program, Dennis will recount this adventure.
