On Tuesday, December 3, 2019, the Placitas Community Library is participating in #GivingTuesdayNM, part of the global day of giving known as #GivingTuesday.
Last year, more than 142 New Mexico nonprofits in more than 24 communities came together to collectively raise $2.5 million for their work!
We are excited to be part of the #GivingTuesdayNM coalition this year and invite you to join the movement. Learn more about the event at www.GivingTuesdayNM.org.

The Placitas Community Library is a non-profit library in Placitas, New Mexico. Because Placitas is an unincorporated area, the library has no supporting tax base and must raise funds for all of its operations.
The library has a paid director and a staff of more than 90 volunteers. They are reliant on these passionate volunteers and the generosity of others to continue serving their community. Their collection includes over 20,000 items covering a wide range of adult and children’s books and media. The library also provides local art exhibitions and a variety of educational programs.
