Details

Wearable art comes to life when in motion.

“Art that moves you” invites audiences to experience the energy of form in flux, as artists present garments and accessories designed not only to be seen, but worn, moved in, and lived in.

The Fabric of Life” is a celebration of garments that speak—stories stitched, sculpted, and shaped around the body. Each piece in the exhibit serves as a narrative vessel, weaving cultural identity, memory, and imagination into material form. Whether crafted from reclaimed plastics or organic fibers, the works confront issues of sustainability, body politics, and personal transformation.

You are encouraged to think outside the “pencil skirt”. Flashy whimsical clothing, decorative hats, colorful earrings, kimonos, embellished shoes/boots, boas, scarves, masks…

Coordinators: Geri Verble, Katie Thomas, Margaret Bruch & Sue Ortiz
