March 2026 – “Art of the Word”

For the “Art of the Word” exhibition, artists are invited to combine text with visual imagery, whether to convey a message or emotion or simply as a graphic component of the work.

This is your chance to channel your inner Jenny Holzer, Ed Ruscha, Barbara Kruger, Glen Ligon, or Robert Indiana all of whom incorporate terse verbal messages as part of their 2- or 3-dimensional creations.

Or perhaps you might emulate Picasso, whose collages often include random words that cavort with the shapes and colors in which they’re embedded.
