Artist Exhibit Submission Form

• Artists must submit a submission form for each exhibit in which they wish to participate per the dates listed on the Call for Artists page.
• Placitas Community Library exhibits are scheduled on a monthly/bimonthly basis.
• Artists may apply for as many exhibits as they wish.
• Artists may not submit a piece that has been previously exhibited at the PCL.
• All work must be original, of professional quality, and properly framed and wired per the https://placitaslibrary.com/art-committee/art-exhibit-specifications/
• Entries mass-produced or made from a kit are ineligible.
• Art submitted for exhibition must be available for purchase.
• Attached image files should be labeled with title and artist name.
• All exhibited materials must meet existing state and federal laws on obscenity, libel, defamation of character and invasion of privacy.
• The library’s Art Committee is responsible for selecting, scheduling and installing exhibits.
• The Art Committee Exhibit Coordinator reserves the right to limit the number of artworks to be displayed by each artist, based on response and space limitations.
• No art work description or pricing changes will be accepted after the label deadline.
• The PCL may use any images/promotional information submitted by artists for event publicity without notice or payment to the artist.
• Artists will work together to host a public reception in the gallery, usually on the second Friday of the exhibit from 5:00 p.m. –  6:30 p.m.
• The library  will be responsible for collecting payment for all sales. The artist is responsible for paying any gross receipts tax they may owe.
• Payment to the artist, less a  25% donation benefiting the library, will be made within 30 days of the end of the exhibit.  A donation receipt will be provided upon request.
• No insurance or security is provided and the library can assume no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged artwork.
