How do I request a new item?
To request a new item, please complete the form at the link below.
How do I reserve a book?
- Go to our catalog and log into your PCL library account. VISIT CATALOG >>
- Search and locate the item you would like to reserve.
- At the top of the record for the item you would like to reserve click on reserve this item.
- Confirm that your method of contact is correct i.e. email etc. and then click place a reserve.
- A note will appear on the screen that let’s you know that you have placed the reserve and your place in line to receive the item.
How do I get a library card?
To get a library card, please visit us at the library with your photo ID.
How do I submit an Interlibrary Loan request?
Submit an Interlibrary Loan request via the catalog by logging into your account and pressing the Reserves/Requests link.
How do I use a PC?
The library maintains 5 desktop PC in the main collection room and 2 desktop PCs dedicated to children. They are all on a first come first served basis. To use a laptop, a patron must have a library card and check it out at the front desk. Patrons can scan to and print from the library machines as they are available.
How do I make a suggestion or ask a question?

How do I get Placitas Library newsletter?
Placitas Community Library regularly publishes a newsletter. You can read about a years’ worth of newsletters and sign up below.
