Giving back to our community is one of the cornerstones of the Placitas Studio Tour. The Placitas Community Library hosts the Placitas Preview Exhibit in the Gracie Lee Community Room mid-April through the end of the studio tour in mid-May. Each of the artists in the tour offer a piece of their art to be displayed, giving a hint of what will be for sale at their studios. The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular library hours. It is an excellent collaboration not only supporting the Placitas Studio Tour, but the “hidden gem” as locals call our Placitas Community Library. On behalf of all the artists participating in the tour, the tour presents the library with the its donation of $1,000 in gratitude.
