Artist Exhibit Submission Form

The Art Committee has scheduled group exhibits. We welcome submissions from all artists over 18 years old, as noted in the Call for Artists. To be considered as an exhibitor in the Placitas Community Library’s Gracie Lee Community Room, please review the guidelines, then fill out the form below.

Exhibit Guidelines

  • Artists must submit a submission form for each exhibit in which they wish to participate per the dates listed on the Call for Artists page.
  • Placitas Community Library Exhibits are scheduled on a monthly/bimonthly basis.
  • Artists may apply for as many exhibits as they wish.
  • All work must be original, of professional quality, and properly framed and wired per the specifications guidelines.  Entries mass-produced or made from a kit are ineligible.  
  • All exhibited materials must meet existing state and Federal laws on obscenity, libel, defamation of character and invasion of privacy.
  • The Library Art Committee is responsible for selecting, scheduling and installing exhibits.
  • Artists will work together to host a public reception in the gallery, usually on the second Friday of the month from 5-7 p.m. (Receptions temporarily cancelled until further notice)
  • The library will serve as the sales agent and will be responsible for collecting payment for any sales. Payment to the artist, less 25% which will benefit the library, will be made within 30 days of the end of the exhibit.
  • No insurance or security is provided and the library can assume no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged artwork.
  • Hours for viewing the exhibit will be within the hours that the library is open and not being used for a scheduled meeting.
