We officially start our summer reading program, UNEARTH A STORY with a special visit from archaeologist, Ziggy Prothro from the NM Office of Archaeology. She is bringing an interactive mini museum to help you learn about Ice Age Americans.
At the May Pre-K story hour, there will be stories and activities centered around Dinosaurs. Dinosaurs will be one of many things we study this summer during our summer reading program.
This is a fun, family program that explores how the violin works and the amazingly acrobatic, character-filled music of Nicolo Paganini. Carmelo de los Santos is not only a violin wizard but has been known to perform magic tricks for his audience as well.
The April Pre-k story time will be on the 14th at 10:00 am. Join us as Grumpy Monkey celebrates the arrival of Spring and experiences spring fever. Grumpy Monkey Spring Fever was written by Suzanne and Max Lang. We will have an egg hunt and make a flower crown. Sounds like fun so come join us!

What do you do when an octopus captures grandma? Put on your superhero cape and rescue her!Octopus Stew, written by Eric Velasquez, will be read by Amy Owens, director of the Young Voices of the Santa Fe Opera. Throughout the story, the Young Voices will perform songs.

Fall is coming and our attention is turning to APPLES! Come have a Barrel of Fun on Tuesday morning, Sept. 10 at 10AM with your pre-school youngsters. We will read the classic, Johnny Appleseed and Dr. Seuss's Ten Apples Up On Top! Activities and snacks are included!
On Sunday, September 8 from 10-3, you can get your hands dirty making seed balls. Take one or two home with you and make some for the library as well. Let your seed balls dry out over the winter, then throw them into your garden. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
